I have a question for you. Are you caring for your emotions as well as you do your body? Many people today are discovering that essential oils can help support all the body systems for vibrant health. This is not new. What most people are not aware of is that essential oils are also amazing at supporting the positive emotions you want to have and can be an important part of a protocol to release negative emotional patterns.
I will share two experiences I had with essential oils that made me a believer. My first experience with essential oils and emotions came when I was teaching school and would come home mentally and emotionally wiped out from the day. Have you ever experienced this either with a job outside the home or within the home raising young children? I’m sure you have because, well, you’re human!
So what I did was put a few drops of Joy Essential Oil and Stress Away Essential Oil in my cold air diffuser (positioned right by my comfy reading chair). Amazing! In 15 minutes of diffusing with my eyes closed my stress seemed to melt away and I had the energy to jump up and cook dinner for the family! True story.

The second experience I had was more dramatic. Last year, I had been experiencing a certain health issue that was starting to drive me crazy. Two separate doctors did all the requisite tests on me… to the tune of several thousand dollars. Nothing abnormal could be found to be causing the problem…except for stress. Then I discovered Dr. Carolyn Mein’s book, Releasing Emotional Patterns with Essential Oils and decided to use the oils she suggested for “fear” along with a protocol from Dr. Corinne Allen of Brain Advance. You see, it turns out that making the transition from a mother of littles to a mother of teenagers who are driving and getting ready to leave the nest gave rise to some fears in my subconscious mind. Using essential oils to help my limbic system release negative emotions and be receptive to replacing unconscious fears with positive beliefs cleared up my health issue immediately.
There is a point I think I should make here and be clear. Do oils replace prayer, faith, or the Word of God in the face of issues such as fear? Absolutely not! Would you refuse homemade chicken bone broth when you have a cold just because you are praying to get well? I would hope not. Essential oils are the lifeblood of the plants; when properly distilled and tested to have all the components of the plant, they are powerful. The plant molecules already know what to do for restoration.
I don’t know, all I know is that there is science behind why oils work with emotions and I am extremely grateful to have them when I want to deal with negative emotional patterns. I’m so glad I tried this method! I use these with my teens as well. In Part 2, I will be sharing some little known and understood facts about our limbic system that will surprise you.
